Works well, not too difficult to install
Bought this model due to night vision feature and no need for separate transmitter installed inside car.
Installed it at bottom of license plate, so as not to block name of state and registration sticker. Installation not that difficult, but the ease by which you can get wiring inside the car and over to your backup light's power determines this, not the design of the camera. You might need additional wire to make the connection. I ran wire into hatch, up thru rubber boot and then down inside of the trim to connect to rear light wiring. I was lucky that removing and replacing the trim pieces in my Plymouth Grand Voyager was not very hard. A 12v test light is very useful so you can figure out at the tailight connector which wire powers your backup light. I soldered the connections rather than using the taps provided with the camera.
Reception is good, occasional flickers, but that is to be expected. The image is clear and bright, including at night.
There is an antenna to screw on to a terminal at the back of the LCD in the upper left (as you face the screen). This is not apparent in the product picture.
Shipping was quick and the product was well packaged. I would have liked to have a generic mounting bracket included so that I could fashion a permanent installation more easily if I decide that the suction cup is not suitable. A little pronged "vent mount" stub is provided, which I have not tried. Currently I have the suction cup in the front cupholder which works tolerably well.
Good camera and monitor for a truck
After nearly a year using this as a back up camera on my Toyota Tundra pickup, I am quite happy with the way it has worked for me. I had no problems installing it, and it has worked fine ever since. The only thing that has been troublesome is that the monitor is a little sensitive to location on the dash or windshield due to interference being bad at several spots. I found a good spot just to the left of the rear view mirror and that is where the monitor lives. Works fine for me.
Great system!
I have purchased three different systems from 4UCAM over the last year. I installed the 7 inch LCD monitor in my motorhome, this 3.6 inch system in my Bobcat and another 3.6 inch system in my Wifes Subaru Outback. I give all three systems a "glowing" 5 stars!!! These cameras and monitors are great! And even more importantly, the customer service (Joe Lu) has been top notch! Joe has been quick to answer e-mails, even on Saturday and Sunday and has always been a pleasure to work with. I exchanged one of my systems for a different system with no hassles and very fast turn around. Shipping is immediate.
As for the reviewer who gave 1 star...I don't wish to call anyone a liar, but I have to seriously question the credibility of that review. It sounds more to me like a "problem" customer!
unhappy
First we expidited this order and did not receive it until two weeks later. Other things we have expidited from other dealers we have received within the next two days. Second when we received the unit it did not work so we took the unit to our local electronic store for professional installation and they informed us that the unit is defective and does not work. We contacted 4ucam and were told that all their units work and it was our problem not theirs. We have continued to try to contact them and they refuse to return our calls or emails. Buyer beware!

Main Camera (wireless night vision) was installed on the license plate location on a Toyota Sienna Van. 2nd camera (without night vision) in front location. Monitor sat on the dash board in front.
Additional camera style selection can be found on our web store.
We also have GPS + wireless backup camera in one unit.
Thank you for your time.
DISSAPPOINTED
This camera worked when hooked directly to the battery. When it was installed it failed to work at all. The company has no phone number to call for Tech support, and they don't answer E Mails. Basically you cannot contact them if you have a problem.
I would have thought a 0 backup cameraa would have some sort of Tech Support. I'm returning mine to Amazon as its not worth aggrevation and no support.
Excellent picture and range of sight
I have two of these monitors, which are actually 3.6" in the new version. I mounted one in my Bobcat and one on the dash of my Wifes Subaru, near the drivers side windshield post.
These are great monitors with much better viewing than the 2.5" versions. Yes, this monitor will cost you a little bit more than the 2.5" one, but the difference is like going from a 19" TV to a 46" one!
And 4UCAM has one of the best customer service attitudes I have ever encountered. I highly recommend their products!

Looks like a Chevrolet Avalanch factory installation!
I wanted the camera and monitor to look like a factory installation in my 2004 Chev Avalanche. The separate transmitter and camera permitted the installation to get the best picture possible.
The 3.5' LCD wireless backup camera system-round truck RV rear view camera was the answer for me. The monitor fit into the bezel with only a back bracket that I made and a 90 degree connector that I purchased.
The truck RV waterproof camera was instaled over the factory trailer hitch with a 90 degree aluminum braket I made up. It worked out great.
The only problem was interference and loss of picture on the monitor when backing up. I moved the transmitter to a location closer to the monitor and that took care of all of it.
